Marines killed crossing the Meuse River in the final hours as “frightful.“ Congressman Fuller closed his letter to Pershing asking for “a real frank, full answer to the question as to whether American lives were needlessly wasted.“ Livermore lamented “the little crosses over the graves of the colored lads who died a useless death on that November morning.“ He further described the loss of U.S. on November 11 and had been ordered to launch its final charge at 10:30 a.m.

Livermore, former operations officer of the 167th Field Artillery Brigade of the black 92nd Division, stating that that force had been engaged since 5 a.m. Just days later, however, the congressman forwarded to Pershing a letter from a constituent with a cover note saying, “I have been deluged with questions on this subject.“ The enclosed letter had been written to Fuller by George K. Pershing answered with his customary crisp confidence: Fuller of Massachusetts, deferentially posed a provocative query: ‘This question is somewhat irrelevant to the matter under discussion,’ Fuller began, ‘but I would like to ask General Pershing if American troops were ordered over the top on the other side on the morning of the day when under the terms of the Armistice firing was to cease … and that those troops who were not killed or wounded marched peacefully into Germany at 11 o’clock. However, a Republican committee member, Alvan T. Just some feedback and ideas to polish what is an excellent game. The encounter was amicable and respectful since members were dealing with the officer who had led America to victory in the Great War. This could help reduce the frustration over edge cases in the game's logic while also maintaining realism ("Alpha, this is Papa Bear. A similar order for ground troops would also be nice, like move to nearest LZ (but only if one is within a grid square maybe?). I also like the above poster's suggestion about being able to order a transport to land at the closest LZ, but that should probably only work to a certain range (few km?), otherwise it just takes away from having to plan the operation yourself. I 100% get that map recce is not the same as actually being there, but it can be frustrating to pick what should be a flat, clear LZ and get rebuffed with "that's impossible, sir!" Normally, it's all good, but it does give weird results enough of the time that I have noticed.Ī bit more feedback that landing is impossible due to slope/not clear enough/etc would go a long ways to reduce that frustration factor.

It's not super important ofc, just a somewhat annoying thing when I' trying to be smart and use Green One as a transport to save some time. Or maybe implement the daisy cutter bomb as a way to make space for an impromptu LZ - maybe as a second bomb type for Cormorant One.

Is there a clear rule on where Helicopters can load/unload troops ?Īlso I think the map ought to show (maybe as an option) where such areas are so I don't have to use trial and error all the time. I've had it work on cleared jungle before, as well as fail on rice fields. I get that landing in the jungle can often be impossible, but the issue is more with how inconsistent it seems to be.

This is very frustrating as it forces me to move them around all the time only to be told "not possible" over and over. Originally posted by Ray:I've so far had a lot of trouble trying to use Green One to move around troops as they usually refuse to land and load/unload them.
